Jet2 package holiday, full board. Food is great, great variety and something different everyday. My only criticism is you have to pay for water when it's dinner time, they can easily switch on the water machine but choose not to. All the plugs in my room are crap, overall fit and finish doesn't give 4 star vibes. The taps, plugs and switches need servicing, and the Aircon isn't that cold. Nice mini fridge in the room to store drinks. Room service staff kind and friendly. Overall great view and can't fault the service from the staff they are friendly, attentive and are willing to help. It's a shame the room let the stay down.
Very good location, just above Amadores. Very nice rooms with balcony and views. If you stay in block 4 - a direct elevator and 5-7 min walk will get you to the beach. We had half board. The food was very good Friday and Saturday, but middle of the week significantly less variety. Overall I would rate food at 3* at best, based on other resorts on GC we’ve been to in similar price range. Drinks of course not included with HB, prepare to pay 5.50 for a glass of pretty basic wine (tried red, rosado, and white wine and couldn’t repeat any). Beer 3.70. Even “free” water was 2 euro at dinner. Personally, I think there are better options on the Island.
Myself and partner spent a week here. Lovely, clean and spacious rooms with excellent views of Amadores beach. Greeted with fresh fruit and champagne in the room which was a lovely touch. The service overall is excellent and everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Whilst some days there are not a great deal of options at the buffet, the food overall is good. If I could rate 4.5 I would. The reason for not offering a 5 start review is that on our first night (literally an hour after our arrival) we went to get dinner having been travelling all day. Only to be served some chicken that was raw which we did not realise at first. This was obviously concerning as it could have potentially given us food poisoning on day 1 of our holiday which would have been a disaster. Once we had raised this to a waiter. She just acknowledged it and left. No apologies from anyone and she didn’t then raise this issue to anyone else which was disappointing. It almost seemed as if no one was bothered. It’s important to note that this was the only issue we faced with the food on our entire holiday and should not reflect on the food as a whole. As in general the food was fairly good
We have stayed at this hotel three times as a family. We have two young children now aged 3 and 5. The rooms are always set up so lovely, clean and work well for us. The food on offer is great for a family, good choice for adults and children. Staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. Just remember to take room card to meals/bar if all inclusive and ordering. Some drinks and snacks aren't included but this to to be expected. The price is really fantastic value for money. The pool and splash pool are really great and we enjoyed using them. Previous stays we had been able to access promenade to walk to the beach, due to refurbishment that access is currently closed but the hotel have organised a brilliant shuttle bus service, free of charge to guests. We had a really lovely stay, brilliant place to go, relax, spend time with family knowing there will be sun, sea and a lovely comfortable room!
Lovely stay at Gloria Palace royal, hopefully these words help: - taxi from the airport is around 70€ - breakfast is fantastic, plenty of cooked options and the freshly made omelette was a favourite of ours. - rooms are spacious and overlook the beach, but are starting to look a little dated. - maid comes everyday if you leave the sign on the door and brings 500ml of still and sparkling water. - there is no iron or ironing room…this was the biggest annoyance as we had to then pay for the ironing, so 7€ a dress and 5€ a shirt as example can soon add up. So either take your own iron or be prepared to pay. That said, the ironed clothes was returned in 24 hours (but could take 48)!! - hotel is spotlessly cleaned. - infinity pool is great and has a water dispenser, so take a refillable bottle, it helps! - pool towels are provided free of charge which is a good touch (but expected from a nice hotel) - no shop in the hotel, but a small spar shop is close, otherwise there are some limited vending machines placed around the hotel! - staff are friendly and helpful! - evening entertainment is ok, otherwise Puerto Rico is about 7€ in a taxi. Overall, would recommend but make sure you take an iron!!
