A year later - an amazing new menu to taste. Excellent dishes and perfect wine pairing (much improved from last year, only one miss). We were surprised by the new creations while recognizing the distinct style of this chef. The only dish leaving us a little less impressed: the tuna tartar. All others were flavor bombs, either intense or super silky and subtle. Definitely star ⭐️ worthy!

This was a very enjoyable high-end dining experience, though not without a couple of small quirks that stopped it from feeling completely polished. We chose the tasting menu, which consisted of 12 courses, and it was clear throughout that the food was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. I don’t drink alcohol, but my partner opted for the wine pairing, which was generous and well matched to the dishes. Standout courses included the wreckfish and a surprisingly memorable dish of cherry tomatoes served with basil sorbet and traditional Gran Canarian cheese — an excellent sweet-savory combination that worked far better than expected. The terrace setting is lovely, and although it was slightly chilly, the heater lamps made it comfortable. Service was efficient and professional rather than overtly warm. While it wasn’t particularly chatty, staff were polite, responsive, and happy to answer questions, which suited us well. There were two minor points that slightly disrupted the experience. Midway through the meal, we were served a large piece of cold bread that didn’t clearly relate to any particular course. When we asked, it was explained that it could be used to mop up sauces if desired. While not a major issue, it felt unnecessary and a little out of place in a tasting menu. If bread is to be included, a smaller, more intentional selection designed to complement specific dishes would elevate the experience. Additionally, while not strictly the restaurant’s responsibility, the nearby hotel bathrooms (which serve the restaurant) only provided thin paper tissues rather than proper hand towels or hand dryers. This felt slightly incongruous with an otherwise refined setting. Overall, this was a very good dining experience in a beautiful setting, with several genuinely memorable dishes. While a few small details could be improved, we thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would happily return.
