Tamaran House, located on Calle Sgto. Llagas in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is a surf hostel that offers more than just a place to rest your head. The hostel is equipped with three 4-bed dormitories, three private rooms, and offers various common spaces such as a sunny rooftop, a living room, and a kitchen where many friendships are formed. Guests can enjoy panoramic ocean and mountain views from the rooftop, cook shared meals in the fully equipped kitchen, and take advantage of fast WiFi, making it a convenient spot for those working remotely.
Situated just 50 meters from Las Canteras Beach, Tamaran House embraces its coastal location by offering a range of activities. Surf lessons are recommended for all levels and are organized with a nearby surf school. Beyond surfing, the hostel hosts daily activities including yoga sessions on the beach, snorkeling, kayaking, and family-style group dinners to further enhance the communal spirit. The presence of a natural reef makes snorkeling particularly appealing, with free gear available to all guests.

One of my favorite hostels so far. The location is perfect, right next to the sea. The hostel itself is beautiful, well taken care of and super clean. The volunteers put in amazing energy to keep everything running perfectly. They are super friendly, with nice vibes and make you feel truly welcome and at home. Thank you all for that 🥰 Very social place, with different activities happening every day. Highly recommended!
Location is perfect. The staff is really friendly and helpful; it's more like a family. It's clean and nice, and the volunteers are putting in so much effort to get a place going right. Meet a lot of friends during a stay, if you are looking for a place to socialise, this is the right spot, you will have to have earplugs in the morning, highly recommended :D They also have men's and women's dormitories available, which makes staying in the bathroom more convenient. Roof top terrace is a really big bonus to make your stay comfortable. The Tenerife room has a big shower, had a great stay and definitely will return when I'm visiting Gran Cacaria. Thank you to Omar and the rest of the Volunteers who made my stay soo lovely . Such friendly people and great activities to do. Bonus was that it was by the sea. I would defo come back. Thank you all soo much and hope to see you all again x
We loved this hostel. Amazing terrace, adorable staff. Location can’t be more perfect. I totally recommend the private dorm in the rooftop, it has an amazing view. And the share dorms are comfortable. There are always activities to do and easy to meet new people.
