We stayed at Maspalomas by Dunas from 4th to 18th June and had a fantastic holiday. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade from a two-bedroom to a three-bedroom family villa on arrival. The villa was spotless, very spacious and had two bathrooms, which was ideal for our family. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The only minor negatives were that the bedrooms lacked bedside tables or cabinets, and the air conditioning could have been a little colder. The food was one of the biggest highlights. Breakfast had plenty of choice, including English-style favourites, fresh fruit, pastries and an omelette station. Lunch and dinner offered freshly grilled meats, pizzas, pasta, soups and different daily specials, with live cooking stations every day. Everything was fresh, well cooked and there was always something different to try. The poolside snack bar was excellent too, serving toasties, pizza, kebab wraps, pasta, fruit, cakes and drinks for most of the day. Our kids loved making their own toasted sandwiches. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and happy to help throughout our stay. There are up to four pools available, including two at the neighbouring Dunas resort, although only guests staying there can use their all-inclusive facilities. The hotel mainly caters for French guests, which wasn't a problem, just something we weren't expecting as Scottish travellers. The location is peaceful, with the beach around 25 minutes away, the town centre about 15 minutes on foot and the Yumbo Centre roughly a 40-minute walk. Overall, we had a brilliant stay. The food, pools and staff were all excellent. We may return one day, although we'd probably choose somewhere closer to the busier areas next time. If you're looking for a relaxing, all-inclusive holiday and are happy to spend most of your time at the resort, I'd definitely recommend Maspalomas by Dunas.

We had an amazing time at the Resort by Dunas Maspalomas, especially thanks to the animation team. They were super friendly, full of energy, and always made sure everyone was having fun, they always managed to create a great atmosphere. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes and people who know how to make your holiday unforgettable, this is definitely the right resort. I want to give a special thanks to Leo, who was an amazing animator always smiling, engaging, and really good at making everyone feel involved. He definitely made our stay even better.

We went here as a family for 6, 2 adults and 4 children, what a great experience. 3 bed bungalow was great for us. Food was great, with a really good variety and different themes on different nights and no one got ill. The whole place was clean and staff were friendly. Probably the best thing about this place is the no towels on sunbeds before 10 o clock rule, so no racing to get a sunbed at 6 in the morning, have your breakfast casually go back to you bungalow grab your towels and things and there is always plenty of sunbeds. The animation team made the stay extra special with lots of activity’s getting everyone involved. As we had 4 young children we made use of the mini club for the children, Pedro, Manuel and Leonardo were amazing with the children for both the kids club and mini disco their energy was something else. The shows on an evening were great you could tell a lot of work had gone into them. The lion king show was the best, you would pay a lot of money in a theatre in the UK to see a show of that standard. 10 out of 10 if you have children and want a relaxing holiday with lots to entertain them I can recommend this place.

We stayed at this resort in Gran Canaria in March and overall had a really enjoyable experience. The resort itself is a bit outdated and could use some renovations here and there, but it still has its charm. Our bungalow was very nice and comfortable, and everything worked perfectly. One of the highlights for us was definitely the pool. Both the kids’ pool and the adults’ pool were genuinely warm, not just advertised, but actually heated and very pleasant to swim in. It was extremely enjoyable, especially for March, when many other resorts claim to have heated pools but they turn out to be cold. Here, the water temperature was truly perfect. The food was good, and we were satisfied with the overall dining experience. As for the staff, they were okay, though not the friendliest we’ve encountered compared to other hotels. The reception staff and pool bar in particular seemed a bit distant or slightly arrogant at times. Despite that, we had a great stay and really enjoyed our time, especially thanks to the amazing pool!

My stay at Maspalomas Resort by Dunas was truly exceptional. What makes this hotel stand out is all the people who work there. From the very first moment, the treatment I received was warm, human, and genuinely caring. The staff is always attentive, making you feel seen and appreciated in a way that is not always easy to find. A special mention goes to Montse, whose delicious coffee and authentic kindness brightened every day. Her genuine smile makes a real difference. I would also like to highlight Ingrid, whose professionalism and competence are remarkable. Finally, I cannot fail to mention the director, Mr. Moez, whose presence and leadership are clearly reflected in the outstanding atmosphere and quality of service throughout the resort. Overall, it was a wonderful stay — one of those experiences that stays with you. I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.
