Had a fantastic stay here as a solo traveller at the the start of July for 5 nights. From the moment I arrived the hotel was beautifully calm. Martin at the front desk was very accomodating and got me a welcome drink of proscecco before I was taken to my beautiful direct ocean review room. As I was on the half board premium I made the most of dining al a carte for the duration of my stay and Callao on site was one of the best offerings (I ate there 3 out of the 5 nights of my trip). Again excellent service in the restaurant and the food was delicious. The location is outstanding - you are right by the beach and on the other side of the light house was plenty of shopping, bars and restaurants. I never really needed to leave the area as the hotel and area and everything I needed for a relaxing and extremely enjoyable holiday. I would love to come back as it really was exceptional. I can't recommend enough.

Great location and hotel. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was pool service downstairs was dismissing and unwelcoming. He seemed annoyed that he had to work, never smiled walking past customers, he actually completely ignored us multiple times and it felt intentional. Rooftop pool service is way better. We almost forgot about it but made an afternoon out of it. Great views up there too. Housekeeping was on it every day. Close to the dunes, shopping and beach. The beach to the left is clothing optional if that bothers you at all. Valet and reception were always smiling and helpful. Our first night we sat outside to have a drink and what I thought was music on a stereo. My back was turned and my husband told me to turn around and there was a violinist who was exceptional! She really was amazing doing older and modern songs. It was our 5 year wedding anniversary and my husband requested a song from her which made me cry. It was beautiful and I was jet lagged lol BUT I hope she’s there often for the hotel sake. Clean hotel. Staff was helpful booking a hard to get dinner reservation for my husband. Check out was easy as was check in. Breakfast buffet was great, dinner was a little bland but we figured out it’s kind of the going rate on the island. To each his own. Great views while you eat and great service

My second stay in this very dark hotel (probably reflecting the lava colors of the island, nice but not in a dark staircase....). Staff is very friendly and helpful, if needed, so that is fine. Food is also ok, but little variation, gets boring after 10 days. While excellent as close to beach and promenade, it is also in the middle of the tourist ghetto of Maspalomas which is very noisy with all its open-air entertainment. So not possible to sleep with open windows. And the 4am wake-up call by deliveries is guaranteed! I paid over 330 Euros per night, half board, for a superior room overlooking the parking and roundabout. Much too expensive. Overall, a solid 4 star hotel but far away from international 5 star levels!

My husband and I wanted a week away somewhere warm, quiet and relaxing and that is what we got. This is a modern, quiet, spacious, tidy hotel in a great location next to the sea. The bed was soft the shower was big and powerful. The lighting took some getting used to, but there was ample. There was a kettle, tea, milk, and Nespresso coffee machine with pods. The food was wonderful with an abundance of choices for breakfast and evening meal. There was a set menu that was different country every day and a buffet, you could have both if you wanted. There’s a bar down stairs near reception overlooking the sea where you could get evening cocktails and listen to live music. There was a Spa there, but we never tried it. Around one side of the hotel grounds, was a path that leads along the edge of the beach and it was well used by runners and walkers wanted to walk beside the sea. We booked a superior room with sea view and used our balcony a lot, after a day in the sun, just sipping drinks and watching the world go by and the surfers. It’s sad that there was a battle for the best sun beds around the pool, with towels left very early without any one on them until late morning. Out the front of the hotel was a wonderful area with modern, chic shops, bars and restaurants to stroll around. Really enjoyed my stay and I definitely hope to get back one day.

Overall an excellent stay. Superb location by the sea and for excellent simple walks from the hotel during the day or after dinner. PLUSES: The guy with the white hat round the poolside is SUPERBLY helpful Excellent good for breakfasts and dinners. Fresh and good quality. Order what you’d like that is not from the buffet when they offer you the orange juice. That’s best plan Very friendly and good quality staff overall. Good bar for a cocktail. Some rooms have great views. 7 mins walk from the dunes if you want to see them. Great an hour before sunset and down the side of the ‘reservoir’ TO IMPROVE: Beds will be a little hard for some. Ask for a softener Be prepared to wait a while for lifts Music around at low level often everywhere. Better with better music or none Shower is not properly separate from the bedroom. Noise and light for others in the room All in all, recommended
