Reviews
This hotel really needs some renovations. I was in the room 219 and It was in bad shape, with the furniture and the floor damaged. The room it's not isolated at all, beeing very noisy when people are in the corridor, and also it was few mosquitos in the room. I'm sorry to say it, but the only good think it's the Korres products at the toilet, that smells amazing.
It is centrally located in the historic downtown area. Walking distance to the beach although it is a bit of a long walk. There are probably rooms with a view of the marina, but mine was the street view. Good food and beverages. Not the typical fancy five star hotel, it is a 4-star hotel, but it is definitely clean, uncluttered, minimalist design and functional layout. It is good for corporate bookings. Lots of seafarers like me were booked there. I saw some men in uniform checking in as well. If your priority is the historic downtown, this is the hotel for you. But if your priority is the beach, it is better to book a hotel closer to the beach. Nights near the beach are more active with many things to do even during late hours. Here, there are rare shops and cafes open at night, you have less options.
This visit was part of a business trip. Overall, the stay was very positive. The location is convenient, close to the city center, with a beautiful view of the harbor. The gym and pool are good, the restaurant service is satisfactory, and the breakfast is generous. The rooms are comfortable and meet expectations. The only minor issue was a worn and chipped chair in the room, which could potentially cause minor injuries or snag clothing. Aside from this, the experience was pleasant and enjoyable.
Mixed feelings about this stay. I have booked 2 rooms with ocean view approximately 3 months prior to our stay. When checking in, we got rooms on different floors and only 1 had ocean view. Didn’t have time to switch rooms, but received a discount at the front desk - which is fair. The check-in process in general was extremely slow…. The rooms weren’t particularly clean. There was sand on the floor and on the bed (?). In the lobby, the smell of cigarette smoke comes in so easily, as if people are smoking inside. It’s not particularly nice. The dinner was great, with amazing service and marvellous food! I would like to highlight exceptional service of Sonia (event sales) with booking a dinner for us. The breakfast had great selection, though a little hectic with ordering the omelette / eggs - but that’s surely due to a very busy season. At the reception, the ladies in general were very polite and friendly, but everything takes a little too long.
