Description
Your tour starts with pickup from your accommodation and a visit to the Valley of Caves in Agüimes, known for its traditional cave houses. This tranquil area offers a striking contrast to city life. You can explore the valley and enjoy coffee at a cave bar if you wish.
Next, head to the coast in Telde to experience a powerful natural blowhole where Atlantic waves burst through volcanic rock. The spectacle varies with sea conditions from calm to dramatic.
Visit Bandama Crater, one of Gran Canaria's prominent volcanic sites, offering panoramic views. The crater’s volcanic origin remains a subject of interest.
The tour culminates in a sunset at Pico de las Nieves, the island’s highest point. Enjoy expansive views and a selection of local Canarian snacks included in the tour. Weather permitting, the sunset occurs above the clouds, providing a peaceful atmosphere.
For those interested, there is an optional short hike to a “rock window” viewpoint. This hike requires good footwear and moderate fitness due to rocky terrain and uneven paths, and may not suit all participants.
Please note that sunset visibility depends on weather conditions and cannot be guaranteed. Even without a perfect sunset, the landscapes and overall experience remain rewarding.
After sunset, you will return to your accommodation approximately 1.5 hours later. Be aware that hotel restaurants may be closed by then.
During summer, heat alerts and route restrictions can affect hiking areas in Gran Canaria. This tour is designed to avoid affected routes and operate as planned.
