This full-day tour explores northern Gran Canaria's flavors, featuring local wines, rum, and bananas. It suits food and culture enthusiasts interested in authentic Canarian experiences.
The tour begins at the Arehucas rum distillery in Arucas, where you will learn about rum production from sugar cane maturation to refining. The guided distillery tour is available in English and German and includes tastings of various rum varieties. We recommend trying Carta Oro for its distinctive flavor. Note that during local festivities, the rum factory visit is not included.
Next, visit the Banana Museum in Arucas to explore the history, varieties, and social significance of bananas in the Canary Islands. You can also purchase banana-based products such as wines, liqueurs, pâtés, and creams.
The tour continues to Agaete, where you will visit a finca for coffee tasting and a wine tour led by award-winning Canarian wine experts. Learn about winemaking in volcanic soils and participate in a workshop on creating mojo canario, the traditional Canarian sauce.
