The tour begins along Fuerteventura’s rugged west coast. Visit La Pared to view the steep cliffs and Atlantic Ocean waves. Continue to the village of Ajuy with its black volcanic sand beach. Take a coastal walk to the pirate caves, some of the Canary Islands’ oldest rock formations shaped by marine erosion over millions of years.
Next, travel inland through mountain roads to Betancuria, the islands’ first capital, founded in the 15th century. Enjoy free time to explore the cobblestone streets, white-washed colonial buildings, and historic church.
The journey continues to the southern peninsula’s Sotavento Beach, famous for its tidal lagoon and shallow turquoise waters. End the day in Morro Jable, where you can walk along the oceanfront promenade, see the lighthouse, and browse the old fishing village before returning by ferry to Las Palmas.
