Description
The tour begins at the Bandama Caldera vantage point, a volcanic crater notable for its vegetation-covered walls. This site is one of the Canary Islands’ remarkable natural features.
Next, you will visit the Viera y Clavijo Botanical Garden, home to more than 500 species of plants from the islands and around the world. The garden features centuries-old palm trees, giant ferns, endemic species, and flowers from five continents, along with ravines and waterfalls.
The route continues to Vegueta, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria’s old town. Wander the cobblestone streets while viewing the Cathedral of Santa Ana, Plaza de Santa Ana, and the façade of Casa de Colón (entrance not included). This area reflects the historical connections between the city and the Americas. You will have free time for lunch and to explore the squares at your own pace.
The tour finishes at Santa Catalina Park and Las Canteras Beach, popular spots along the coast. Alternatively, you may choose to visit the Poema del Mar Aquarium with an optional supplement. The return journey heads back to the south of the island.
